Pink Party Punch and other punch recipes

I just LOVE punch. I remember my Mum had the most beautiful ornate (albeit plastic) punch bowl set. All the gorgeous slices of fruit floating around in a punch just make it seem so lush and fresh.

This is like the one Mum had, i'm sure many of us remember these.

This is what you might have had back then if you were upper class. So cool!

I make punch for every party i have. In the good only days when i was in university, i used to make watermelon punch - a super alcoholic version including vodka, passion pop and cheap cask wine. I will never forget the time that i completely forgot to add the lemonade and fruit juice and we were completely smashed in about 30 mins.

In my twenties, i opted for a cocktail style and would often make a Pina Colada punch that would, inevitably, leave us all feeling extremely ill the next day. The taste was of course always worth it though.

Now in my thirties, there are lots of party goers who won't be drinking so they can drive home and take care of their kids. And so a new recipe has emerged, one that will leave everyone feeling very merry, even though it contains no alcohol whatsoever.

Pink Party Punch
3-4 litres of full fat lemonade

1/2 a bottle of Bickfords lemon lime and bitters cordial
1 litre of Pineapple and coconut juice (the premixed supermarket juice shelf kind)
A few slices of pink grapefruit for aesthetic purposes.

Of course you can always add alcohol to any punch recipe. For this one, i recommend a white coconut rum like Malibu, some cask wine and a bottle of cheap spumante.

Here are a few other great punch recipes that will be a hit at any party.

Zesty Lime Punch
2 litres of diet lemonade
1 litre of tropical fruit juice
The juice of 2 limes
100mls Bickfords Lime Cordial

Cranberry Punch
1 litre of cranberry juice
1 litre of lemonade or sparkling water
750ml of grapetiser (white)
The juice of one lime.
1 lime sliced to decorate

Peach Iced Tea Punch
2 litres of lemonade or sparkling water
1 litre of tinned peach nectar
100ml of Bickfords Peach iced tea cordial
A fresh peach sliced to decorate

Pear and Mint Punch
1.25 litres of ginger ale
1 litre of tinned pear juice
Fresh mint for decorating

Will you break out the punch this Christmas? Let us know your favourite punch recipe.

The Beginning

Welcome to our very first post. I am sure that when i look back on this years from now i will cringe, but for now, i will just write and introduce ourselves.

Nicole Herrick of Kids Style Hub and Nicole Ballard of Kiddilicious Parties

We are Nicole and Nicole - two slightly crazy creative girls, both in the party industry. Nicole Ballard hails from Kiddilicious Parties, a boutique online party store and is a legendary party stylist. She also has 3 gorgeous children. Nicole Herrick hails from Kids Style Hub, a baby and kids designer boutique and party venue. She also designs party printables, styles from time to time and works 7 days a week, kid free so far (unless you count the hundred or so kids coming through for parties every weekend).

We have started this blog as a way of sharing our inspiration with people. There is nothing both of us love more than gorgeous styling and the passion that goes into creating a truly unique and fun party every time. This blog is also about other peoples gorgeous ideas and creative genius and we will be featuring amazing parties and ideas each and every week to help inspire you all.

In the pages on this blog, we will be adding some great reference materials to also inspire you as well as a directory of where to find anything "party" in Australia including venues, stylists,  caterers, party supplies, entertainers, party hire and cake makers etc. If you would like to have your services listed in our  directory, it's free! Just head to our directory and fill out the form.

So that's us, first post done and many more to come. We hope you enjoy following the party inspirations as much as we do.
